Volo Bog is the best during the fall.
It's so much quieter this time of year.
You can walk the whole floating trail
without passing a single person.
I also love all the colors
that are scattered about,
the crispness in the air,
& lack of bugs.
This visit I saw a crane -
and he saw me too.
In response, he flew
up and sat at the very top of a pine tree
and waited for me to walk by.
The tree didn't look nearly strong enough to hold
him up there- but, somehow it worked.
Poor fella had to wait awhile for me to
just walk on by though
because I couldn't help but take a bazillion
photos of him.
