...meandering thoughts and a reminder to myself that a mundane day can be just as beautiful as a spectacular one.

The Sandwich Fair

The 124th Sandwich Fair
was in town over the weekend.
I've been going to the fair all my life and have only
missed it a couple of times.
My grandparents even honeymooned at the fair.
I guess you could say that Sandwich Fair love is in my blood.

This year the mister and I conquered the Tilt-O-Whirl.
I got the most severe case of the giggles on this ride
that I had tears in my eyes.  It was great.

We did not, however, conquer the mouse game.
Our lucky numbers 22 & 28 let us down this time.
This game is an easy way to spend your quarters.
"And let her go please."

Here's some photos of the blue ribbon winners.

People travel from all over the US to come this fair
as you can see by this map.

I can't resist miniature flower arrangements.
They're cooler than the ginormous ones sometimes.

We checked out a lot of really great RVs.
Sometimes, I think it would be romantic to just sell
the condo and get an RV instead.
How about it Margot & Willie?
Travel the US in style.  Like 1984 RV style.

Vintage items at the fair are always neat too.

There's a post office there-
So, we took time out of the day to write
& sent a postcard to Scotland.

Future Farmers of America

Gosh.  I love the animals.

"Awe - look love, she looks like one of the Golden Girls!"

Great food & sweet beverages.
You bet the mister ordered Alligator on-a-stick.

And last, but certainly not least-
we got to pretend we were proud owners
of a bright blue tractor.

I can't wait until next year!
